Leading the brand’s European expansion is Maarten Dekker, Vice President & General Manager of Coravin Europe B.V., who will manage a team responsible for new business development, e-commerce, field sales, marketing communications, operations and accounting. Maarten is joining Coravin from Nespresso USA Inc., where he held the position of Vice President B2B North America and was responsible for the creation, development and implementation of the Nespresso Business to Business strategy for North America.

Coravin’s European expansion comes on the heels of a banner debut year for the company in the U.S., with sales of more than 40,000 units to restaurants, consumers, wineries and wine shops, as well as the addition of more than 500 business partners nationwide. Following suit, nearly 100 European restaurants are already using the Coravin System to expand their wine programs by offering their finest wines by the glass. Launching first in the UK, Coravin will look to roll out business in France, Germany, Italy and Spain throughout Q4, focusing on local language transactional websites and select strategic partnerships.
