About the Event

We’re teaming up with Quilt & Co. to celebrate National Drink Wine Day and to bring you, Taking it Slow: Food & Wine Preservation. Join winemaker, Joe Wagner, and Coravin Inventor, Greg Lambrecht, for a fun and informative session on extending that special bottle of wine. AVOW Chef Mike Williams joins the fun, pairing 90+ point wines with an array of dishes.

4 wine bottles

Taste along with these four wines and receive a free Pivot™ Wine Preservation System.

- 2017 Elouan Klamath's Kettle Reserve Pinot Noir (91 Points, Wilfred Wong)

Opening four good bottles at once may be daunting but, fear not, that's what your Coravin system is for. During the event, Joe and Greg will use the Pivot – the newest and most streamlined Coravin wine preservation system to date. With the Coravin Pivot, you can open all four bottles for this tasting and have them stay fresh for up to 4 weeks.

Joseph Wagner

As the son of Chuck Wagner, who co-founded Caymus Vineyards with his parents in 1972, Joseph Wagner has grown up in the world of viticulture. While working in the vineyards at a young age, Wagner developed a greater appreciation for the environment. Wagner established Belle Glos with his father with the inaugural vintage of 2001 focusing on vineyard-designated Pinot Noirs. His nontraditional approach to vineyard decisions and winemaking shaped his “Go With Your Palate” philosophy; empowering people to drink what they enjoy. Next up for Wagner was Elouan, a collection of Oregon wines made in his signature style. Since starting Copper Cane Wines & Provisions in 2014, Wagner has launched numerous new wines, each with a distinct slant towards his personal style. Taking a hands-on approach to cultivation, winemaking, and marketing with each of the brands, his Copper Cane portfolio includes Belle Glos, Elouan, Napa Valley Quilt, Böen, and others.
