Protecting the Waters That Carried Wine to New Shores
A portion of proceeds from every Timeless Six+ Ocean Blue Limited Edition sold on Coravin’s global websites goes to Tusk, the African conservation charity, to help restore the coral reefs of Mnemba Island, off the coast of Tanzania.
The Partnership
A Limited Edition With a Lasting Legacy
Ocean Blue takes its deep finish from the sea, whose waters introduced wines to distant shores for millennia. To help protect those waters, Coravin is partnering with Tusk to support a locally led coral reef restoration project in the Mnemba Island Marine Conservation Area, Zanzibar.
Over the next 12 months, the funding will contribute to a programme installing 1,000 reef stars with young coral colonies in areas severely degraded by bleaching, and support new opportunities for women to become marine rangers within the local community.

One of East Africa’s Most Important Reefs
The coral reefs surrounding Mnemba Island support exceptional biodiversity, local livelihoods and Zanzibar's tourism economy.
After the severe 2024 coral bleaching event, triggered by ocean warming, Tusk's local partner Oceans Without Borders expanded its reef restoration programme to speed up recovery through innovative techniques, community leadership and science-based conservation.

How the Reef Comes Back
Reef Stars
Star-shaped frames are fixed to the seabed to stabilise degraded reef, and young coral colonies are attached to them, giving the reef a structure to grow back on.
The Coral Nursery
A new land-based nursery at the Wild Impact Blue Hub, Matemwe Secondary School, provides a climate-resilient source of corals and inspires the next generation of ocean stewards.
Women Restoring Reefs
Two dedicated female marine rangers lead reef star fabrication, coral restoration, monitoring and community engagement, opening pathways into marine conservation careers.
Long before Coravin, the ocean carried wine to new shores, introducing people to grape varieties and styles they had never encountered. This precious ocean environment is under huge pressure. We are therefore very proud to support Tusk in rebuilding 1,000 sqm of coral reef.
